Mojitos on SW 8th Street, feels like a staple of the Cuban community here in Miami. Located right off of the famous Calle Ocho, just 2 minutes west from the Palmetto Expressway, it is easily accessible with ample parking. The interior of the restaurant is stunning with all the art on the walls and the lighting. Plenty of open tables and high top seating. Ambiance is relaxed but has that fine dining feel to it. There's live music on Fridays, although I've never experienced it before I believe the venue creates a fun atmosphere for a live performance to go with your meal. Outdoor patio seating is also available with shelter from the elements. The food is traditional Cuban cuisine, you can't really go wrong with anything you order here. I've had the Camarones Enchilados, the tostones rellenos, the picadillo and the frijoles negroes - all of which are excellent choices. The drinks are great too! You have to try the frozen lemonade or the strawberry mojito. Finish off your experience with a cafecito to feel re-energized. The service is okay, with room for some improvement. I have been to this location several times over the past few years and the service level has not improved. The wait is long even when me and my grandparents have been the only customers in the restaurant, and the attention is lacking for the number of servers they have working at the same time. I counted 8 staff the last time I was there and there were only 2 occupied tables in the entire restaurant. The staff seem to enjoy congregating around the bar more than they enjoy taking care of their tables/customers. Aside from that, the food and atmosphere are great at Mojitos Calle 8.

After I picked up my parents at the airport we decided to eat here for dinner. The food was delicious not to mention the alcohol drink I had was superb. I had a mojito coconut and it was refreshing. I had to get seconds. It was that good. The waitress was attentive and pleasant. My family had a great time.

It's not called Mojitos for no reason, you have to orders Mojito whenever you come here. They are delicious! This restaurant serves Cuban cuisine. The vibe is good, quite loud. They play Cuban music and sometimes have a live performer singing, depending on the night. It's not as loud during lunch time compared to dinner. We started off with an order of ham croquettes which were soft and flavorful with each bite. They come with a cilantro dipping sauce. Although, they taste good with out without the cilantro. We also ordered fried yuca fries, which were so good I forgot to take a picture. As an entree I got the chicken breast which is lathered in onions, it packs the chicken with a great amount of flavor. You get 2 sides to chose from with your entree, ranging from French fries to a salad. Everything comes out extremely fast. The churrasco was good but it didn't come out to the temperature my husband asked for. It was still flavorful and in my opinion delicious. Overall, it's a nice place to go on a date or with a big group. Very accommodating and the service is amazing! Everyone is very attentive.
